I would agree I think people (myself included) are trying to use foul words.

However (and i hate to take this off topic a bit) the majority of people who would be looking into this kind of book would tend to be younger people probably in a band and getting into the field. you will get older people, but the majority will be younger.

And those young people are going to go for "The book for fucking great home recording" before they touch the "Home recording: Advanced methods" instruction book. Also, the area can be technical when you go into details on this (As an IT guy i know how bad that can be!) so if they think a book has attitude from the title then your going to do alot better.

So i personaly think a little profanity in this case is a good thing if used right, and not just for an insult.

Thats just my opinions though!

Maybe then you should stick a swastica on it and Call it "How Hitler Conquered the Home Recording Studio"

Or maybe "How Hitler Would Have Conquered the Home Recording Studio"

How about...

Sound Bytes (main title)
What I've learned from __ years of home recording. (sub title)

Or something to that effect. I tend to like a short main title and a more explanatory sub title...but there needs to be something interesting in the sub title to sell the product as well as explain it.

"EVERYTHING you need to know about Home Recording - Here & Now"
Or
"The Definitive Book of Home Recording - All You Will Ever Need To Know About The Gear, Setup, Recording, Mixing & Mastering"
Or
"Gearing up, Setting Down, Recording, Mixing & Mastering In Your Very Own Home Recording Studio"
Or
"Confused About Gear, Recording, Mixing & Mastering In Your Home Recording Studio? Not Anymore!"
Or
"The All In One Definitive Source For Understanding Gear, Recording, Mixing & Mastering In Your Home Recording Studio"

Good luck with your book. I'd love to read it.

Yair

I think you nailed it with the title of your web site Brandon. "Make Home Recordings Pro Recordings"

Ok, from the school of light hearted but blatantly informative:

Everything you've ever wanted to know about home recording but were afraid to ask

(...but probably a bit clichéd)

or from the risqué, eyebrow raising, almost clever school:

Aural Love (geddit?)

How about:
