Steven Wilson - Insurgentes

I got my hands on this a couple weeks ago, and it's mindblowingly awesome.

The production, the music, and the feeling all gets top marks from me. The opening track, "Harmony Korine" is on paper, a pretty predictable song, but Steven Wilson puts this haunting touch on to it that makes it beautiful and haunting at the same time.

Other highlights include Significant Other, which is probably one of my favorite songs ever, and the title track (and final song of the album), Insurgentes. A beautiful piano with the classic Wilsonian harmonized vocals that could bring tears to anyone's eyes.

There's not a single track on this album that I can bring myself to dislike. Every single piece is unique yet united in a mystifying way that will have you listening over and over again without end.

Easily a 9/10 from me. You need this album in your collection.
