 Flaming Lips - "Embryonic"
If you're at all interested in psychedelic rock, the new Flaming Lips album is essential. It's an orgy of distortion, compression and audio manipulation. You audio engineers out there may enjoy its crazy, experimental, '60s inspired production ideas. Great jams, drones, and melodies. The album has not left my CD player since the album was released last week. It's a great antidote to the sterile, cookie-cutter shlock that's been the norm lately.  |
