Hey everyone, it's great to join the recording community here! I'm 21 and My name is Tyler. I started playing guitar about a year and a half ago, and I'm looking forward to recording some of the music I have created. As of now, I have a very poor setup. I'm thinking of saving for some decent equipment, It's not going to be an amazing setup, but I'd like to be able to at least set up something where my songs are pretty clear. I mostly play metal, punk, and acoustic folk songs. Some of my favorite bands are The Fall Of Troy, The Blood Brothers, and City and Colour to name a few. I would like to video record my stuff as well, for posting on my websites. I have little to no recording experience, but hopefully everyone here can teach me a thing or two. I need something to record an acoustic/electric guitar, an electric guitar, and my voice. If anyone can help me figure out a decent setup please let me know. Thank you very much. -Tyler Close
-If there is a good thread about this kind of setup that you can direct me to, I'd be very grateful. Thanks.
Right now I use a terrible noname mic headset, a pair of sony dj headphones, and the computer program Audacity. I'm willing to replace everything if I have to.
