Unhappy Timing Problems!!!

Hey my names tony, i'm just starting to record but i've been a drummer for five years. Well my problem is the timing with my midi controller. i press a key and the sound takes a second, and if i play too fast it sounds like jibberish.

the program i'm using is SONAR home studio six. i have a axiom 25 controller. my computer runs off a gig of ram and decent proccesor and a 7200 RPM 160 GB hardrive.

Please help i just wanna make music!!!

That sounds like you have a latency problem.

If I remember correctly, you need to set Sonar to use ASIO drivers for your sound card/interface.

BTW, what sound card/interface do you have?

I'd highly recommend you purchase a real deal audio interface designed for home recording. This will solve your latency problems. Check out the Home Recording Soundcard Wizard.
