Fellow rockers, I am from Detroit Suburbia, on drums. Been in and out of the same band twice, I have "control" issues, working on round three. I'm a technophile/audiophile, a big fan of DFH, I use Logic express, I will be posting tunes in due time for you critique. I'd just like to say.....hello.

Its not quite a hate but a perpetual dissatisfaction. Let me put it this way, I thought my $3500 Masters shells sounded like s**t!

I would say it's more heads, tuning and technique than the drums themselves. Mine aren't expensive (comparatively, anyway), but I've got good heads, and I know how to tune em... I think there's something here on the forum about tuning drums.

I agree. If I had to tune a drum to save my life, I would be dead.

It's a pretty simple, yet oftentimes very frustrating proceedure. And don't worry about what it looks like. If you have to use some duct tape, then use it. Pillows, blankets, small children, whatever. Just keep playing with it until you get the sound YOU want.

I know this is a bit belated of a post, but I've been busy moving to Texas...
