So now my Audacity is able to record the music, but in Cubase LE I am unable to record. In Device Setup, when I choose E-MU ASIO driver. I can't record anything. But when I choose ASIO Multikedia driver, I am able to record with Monitor switch on, but there is a huge echo that ruins the recording. If I turn off the moitor, then I can't record. From all the postings I read, it appears that I should choose the EMU driver but that is not working for me. Any ideas from anyone?
I would fight to get the EMU driver to work. That is going to solve all of your problems.

In most cases this is a problem with using an old driver (search their website for the latest version) or using one that is not compatible with your operating system.

I checked the website and it appears that I am using the latest driver. Only thing that i have different is that in support matrix, they have Win2000 listed and I am using Win2003 Server. But from my other software experiences I am sure that should not cause a problem.

I think to explain your problem is that you need to put an asio send into one of your mixer strips I've got the big brother to your sound card 1820m You should always tell your patchmix to send a signal to cubase then cubase will see it in the VST inputs under the audio bay folder in device setup Try and get your hands on the cubase tutorial dvds they really help because you can see the guy actually doing all the topics it covers I've learnt a whole heap of things from them. Try a torrent site

You need to figure out the chipset requirements of your audio interface by going to the the manufacturer's website. Then you can USUALLY look in Control Panels > System > Hardware Manager > Device Manager and see everything you need to see.
