Hey it's great to be part of this forum.

I am a long time musician who wishes there was more time to do what I love.

I play a few different instruments, but started as a drummer at a young age, and I sing and play guitar, bass and a little keyboards.

I have some pretty decent equipment and sometimes feel like I need to sell it since I can't get to use it enough...but I haven't been able to bring myself to do so yet.

My main equipment is a Gibson Les Paul Vintage Mahogany Faded Cherry, an Epiphone Dot Deluxe VS, and a Line 6 Spider Jam. I just subscribed to Guitarport.com and they give a free Toneport Gearbox interface for $30 including 3 months subscription. I highly recommend it, it's awesome!

I also have a Roland VS1824CD and some assorted Behringer mixers and pa and compressor, and a Behringer B2 Pro Condenser Mic.

I have an Alesis Fusion 8HD.

So many toys so little time....oh well. I am playing in a band with some friends doing mostly Classic Rock. I mainly sing and will add some guitar backing later.

I am eventually looking to play out and get a couple of gigs myself with backing tracks, so if anyone knows a good setup to do that I would love to hear about it.

Rob

Welcome to the world of home recording, Don! I just got into it recently as well, it's a blast.

Welcome to you too, Rob--though if you haven't already done so, you may wish to create your own individual intro thread, since this one is Don's.
