Default Re: newbee trying to record drums

i can help but can you tell me more about your setup first?
ive recorded in the past with a similar setup with great results. what mics do you have available and what style are you playing? also what is the room like that you will be recording in?
a couple things..
just remember that the most important thing for a great drum track is a great sounding kit...so make sure its tuned as well as it can be.
mic placement is critical! if you havent recorded before (or even if you have) talk to people and read up on mic placement. this can make or break your track so learn as much as you can and you'l be on your way.
