Default The new guy

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hello, I'm very excited about learning all I can about recording. I'm a guitar player that has been in several recording situations but never really knew that much about it, so
I thought it might be fun to setup my own home studio and have the advantages of no time restraints and not recording with someone who is only interested getting my money.
My basic setup right now is a PC with a Soundblaster Audigy Z2 ( I know this isn't the best but it was given to me so I'm not going to complain :-)) and I'm currently running Cubase Sx3. So far I have recorded a few tracks with my friend and me, we seem to be getting the hang of the program, but we are definitely looking to learn more.

Is the Audigy Z2 a low latency audio interface? I know a few Soundblaste products are but they are the exception.

Welcome to the forum!

Hey Mr.Drury,

I actually called the interface by the wrong name, it's a
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS, I didn't have the box near me when I was post to the forum. On the question of latency, as far as I remember, it's around 7ms input to 5ms output. Its working great so far, as son as we get something recorded we'll throw it out on the forum.

Thanks-

Wow! That's pretty good. This is definitely a low latency audio interface.
