Honestly I followed Human here via the power of google. I write and record my own music, mostly metal, and just try and work with what I can. Being first married, then unemployed, then unemployed and going through a divorce... well, that makes money a little tight. I'd love to have half of the equipment I need to make decent recordings, but I think I do fairly well for what I have.
I'm an active member on a guitarist forum community, and I'm jealous of other people's mixes. I'm hoping by being here, a recording forum, I can pick up some tips on making better recordings.
Sony Acid Home Studio 7 is what I have, and until I get a new computer all I can use really. Line 6 UX1 is the audio interface I have, and all of my recent work has been recorded using that. I have the same problem as Human, not having a drummer... but unlike him I don't even have a band, so I've been solo my whole "career" because it's so hard to find GOOD musicians it seems. Especially in the metal department.
Anyway, that's a little about me... I'll avoid posting anything directing to myspace since I see that is a forbidden zone of sorts.
