mrs 1608 intHDD error

hi people im having a problem with my zoom in that everytime i turn it on all i get is the message "intHDD error"
any advice?

what model zoom do you have?

its a mrs 1608
in the manual it says press "clear" then turn the machine off then press "mark"
but as soon as i press mark the error message comes staight back!!

From what I can see this unit has to be plugged into a computer. I am not sure I need to read more. It could be alot of things and I will get back to you this evening. I have to get to work now.

its a hard drive problem so if you have the computer hook up to store memory try that if not you will have to take it in to be repaired.it takes a long time to get them back i know cause a similar problem happened to me.Also you can't buy the computer hook-ups anymore but I have seen them on e-bay.There should be a panel on the back of the machine unscrew it and check to see if there is a chip installed in there.Your manuel can tell you what it looks like.If theres no chip then you will need one of those as well.Hope this helps you out.
