What's a "guitar tracker"? I've never heard of it.

I never really saw much point in using the MIDI pickup for strumming purposes. I always just thought it was a way to do weird synth and sample stuff.

I'm thinking no one may read this, but, midi pickups are pretty rad if you use the synth guitar effects pedals. Really neat things like running your clean signal along with a synth effect into distortion provides some really really interesting sounding guitar effects (you can try re-amping and doing this, but you'd have to play twice, once on the guitar, then once on the keyboard/synth you want to use, then run them out together). Really interesting stuff, but only if you're planning on needing really thick effect guitars, or sounding like the band Orgy (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, their distortion is pretty savage at times, not so hot others).
