Default I'm new 2...sort of.

Hello friends,
I have been playing guitar since about 1975 I guess. I'm 46 years old now. I was in need of a new computer and I have always wanted a Mac....and I've been wanting to record at home for quite some time. I just went out and bought a a new Macbook. I suppose I should have used my Garage Band first but I had no interface. When I started interface shopping I decided on M-Box, so now I have ProTools too. I have not broken the seal on the box yet but plan to this week. I've recorded myself using my old Tascam 4 track in the past and I've been recorded by a friend using ProTools a power Mac and some really nice mics. I am really looking forward to getting started. I have several vintage guitars and amps to play around with. I only have two SM-57s for a microphones but I feel sure that's good enough to get started.

I would appreciate any help you guys can give me now or in the future. I'm looking forward to learning from you.

Here's some of my toys in the bonus room:

Thanks again,
JB in NC

A trillion awesome recordings have been made with little more than 57s. Don't let bored people talk you into thinking you need more right now.

When you get a mix together post it in Recording Reviews. I'd love to hear it!
