Hi everyone

A little about me?

I'm getting back into guitar playing and song writing after about 10 years of 'real life' distraction,
all that gainful employment and crap that pulled me away from my first true love
I just bought myself a Jackson RR3, a Boss Gt-8 and a Marshall MG50dfx to start me out again since
I don't intend on gigging at all i'm pretty happy with the setup for home recording/jamming.
My main style of music is Metal with Marty Friedman and Yngwie Malmsteen probably my main influences.
Love smooth sounding palm muted technical metal.

I'll be looking for advice and assistance getting a boss gt-8 to computer recording system set-up.
Only bought the gt-8 yesterday so i'm still spending enjoyable hours playing around creating patches.
Just starting to research software and midi connection so after a brief look around this appears to be
an awesome site for getting advice

I'll be looking for advice and assistance getting a boss gt-8 to computer recording system set-up.

Do you intend to record it direct (line out of the gt-8 into an audio interface) or are you going to use an amp? Will you be recording drums? Will you be programming drums using samples?
