Hi all,
New here. In the process of setting up my first proper recording setup after using crappy stuff for years so stumbled across this this site and said I'd sign up and hopefully get some good tips and help from some of you experienced fellows
Like the look, vibe and general atmosphere around here already.
Been reading through a few topics and folks here seem friendly and helpful.
Anyway, I'm 31 and from a small village in rural Ireland.
I have been playing guitar since I was about 13 and have been singing since about the age of 18.
Play some keys, guitar, bass and also write midi. Orchestral and piano stuff with regards to midi, but haven't done anything in years with it really..
Used to think of myself as a guitarist that sang a little but these days it's a singer that plays guitar
I recently decided to upgrade my pc, (for gaming initially) and then thought that I should really sort out my recording setup and get something that I can produce some decent stuff with. So have decided to get some nice gear and sort my new pc out and get stuck back into the world or music yet again.
I hit an inspirational black hole a few years ago and haven't been in the headspace to write, play much or do any recordings at all.
Last week though, I was listening to some old sketches I recorded recently and in the mindset of "art is never finished, only abandoned" I decided to stick them up on iTunes and that has kinda led me to getting excited about music once again.
so to wrap up a needless long story, that kinda brings me here.
So looking forward to chatting to you guys and will update you on the progress of my new setup as I get the parts together.
Mark.

Yea that's the one. That's old stuff. Me playing all the instruments and using sampled drums. Think there is some acoustic stuff on there too.
Think the 2 tunes I uploaded to iTunes are on loads of other sites too. I used dittomusic to upload. Think they will be on spotify too.
Just checked and the 2 iTunes songs are there also.."signs" and "across the sea"

Welcome Mark! That's cool you are already on iTunes and your songs have good ratings. "Across the Sea" I especially like. You are doubling and panning your vocals which is interesting. You definitely have your style and best wishes to getting more stuff recorded and letting us hear it.
Cheers pal![]()
