Hello to all,
This forum has already been very useful for me, ive lerked in the shadows but never posted before! This seems like a great place for me to gain from to produce better recordings, i always want to learn something new. I'm in a young indie/altern rock band, and i do most of the recording because i am the only one with a job to buy the stuff... anyway, the very small set up i have right now is an m-audio 2496 soundcard connected to a small behringer 6 track mixer leading to a Technics DC amplifier and two KEF celeste speakers. I use Adobe Audition as my DAW of choice as i feel it allows me a great sense of freedom and just feels like a better program to me than the others i have played around with... for the mxier i have an SM57 and an AKG Perception 100 condenser. We normally record each part individually. We have a roland electric drum kit going in to BFD 1.5 and then record that sound in to audition. well thats a basic overview of my set up, i hope you guys can advise me on anything i could improve upon my method of recording and setting it up (i guessed it all) bye and thank you! |

It's sounds like your rig is affordable but well put together. I guess it's time now to hear what you are cranking out. Can you post a song in Bash This Recording?
