Hello

Hi,
I've stumbled across quite a few forums on the net that seem a bit confusing to me, but hey something tells me that I'm in the right place with this one.
If I can just tell you where I'm coming from, may be someone is on a similar journey.
I'm a freelance Community Musician, facilitating music making workshops, drumming groups, guitar clubs, I'm also an entertainer for lots of kidz parties, and I love it!
I've always enjoyed composing songs and recording them, from the way-back days of my wee Sanyo cassette recorder, then a Tascam Porta One now I've just adapted a little trolley into a mobile studio. It holds my 6 yr old Samsung P4 laptop running Tracktion 2 & Reason 3, my P4 struggles sometimes. It also holds my BCA2000 Behringer Audio Interface, Behringer MS16 Monitors and my 120GB external HD. I have 2 Sennheiser HD 201 Headphones, 2 ADK Studio Condenser mics, an M-Audio Oxygen 61, a PODXTLive and this week I was bought the Korg PadKontrol as an early birthday present.... I lurve my wife!!!
I'm gonna need some help with the PadKontrol cos' I ain't got a clue right now, infact I'm still learning to fly my lil' Groove Trolley. It's new ground for me but I'm having so much fun along the way, I've already produced a couple of original CD tracks with the gear, one for a Mental Health group and the other for a Learning Support Centre, pure joy!
So I'm looking forward to connecting with you all, sorry to say that I'll also be asking some very basic questions but I hope you guys can help me get to the next level.
