Shudderdrummer is on a distinguished road
Default Greetings from the Heart of America...

...where we get the best of Arizona's heat and the worst of Minnesota's cold. Er...something like that!

I've been making music since the tender age of 4, when I could finally reach the ivories for some tinkling. I've been a narrow-purposed engineer/producer/mastering engineer for approximately 4 years now, focusing on my own band's recordings and slowly expanding to other artists. I'm also drummer and backup vocals for said group (Shudder, Shudder presents... Generation Why), resident tech-head/studio owner/slave-driver.

I'm here to share what I know, be it of use or abuse, inspiring or insipid. When tracking I aim for clarity, coherence, and slightly-sweetened sounds, preferring in-the-box creativity later. I'm unafraid to ride the threshold/attack/release on vocals and guitar, and I have matrices of information in my brain on that complicated bit of gear, the compressor.

Anyways, hello to all! I've enjoyed the posts I've read so far, and look forward to contributing and learning just the same.

It's not complicated! If the reduction meter isn't fully lit up, something is wrong! (Joking...most of the time)
