deonstracks is on a distinguished road
Default deonstracks

Hello, I'm new to digital recording and so I'm trying to get a feel for the equipment that I will need to develop a home studio. Currently I have a Roland Altieler organ 90SL, two JBL 15' speakers, a laptop, Adobe Audition 3 software, an a Sure KSM 27 mike. Also a Yamaha GO46 firebox that I'm not really that crazy about.

Can anyone suggest a better fire box? I'm considering a Presonus Fire Tube Studio.

Before I recommend an $800 audio interface, what problems are you having with your current audio interface?

I'm of the opinion that audio interfaces pretty much all sound the same. Some just offer more features, more channels, etc. So I'm not sure I can recommend a "better audio interface", but I can recommend an audio interface that is more likely to have more features than you really need.
