Default another newbie says Hi

Hi everybody!

What a wonderfully diverse group with lots of good advice and info.

I'm an amateur, piano playing (Korg digital synth keyboard) songwriter who wants to make a CD to market some songs.
I just got an intel core2 quad with 3G memory and have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card on the way.
M-Audio doesn't yet have Vista drivers for it, but that's OK because I want to switch to 64Studio Linux, which includes Rose Garden (similar to CuBase).

Anybody using Linux?
Several of you mention using Vista.
I read it was a memory hog, and it does seem slow to me. But if it works well for you I might give it a try.

I'm just an XP guy. I've been very happy with it on my recording rig.

Let us know how the Linux thing works out. I'm always interested in this sort of thing.
