Hi everybody! What a wonderfully diverse group with lots of good advice and info. I'm an amateur, piano playing (Korg digital synth keyboard) songwriter who wants to make a CD to market some songs. I just got an intel core2 quad with 3G memory and have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT sound card on the way. M-Audio doesn't yet have Vista drivers for it, but that's OK because I want to switch to 64Studio Linux, which includes Rose Garden (similar to CuBase). Anybody using Linux? Several of you mention using Vista. I read it was a memory hog, and it does seem slow to me. But if it works well for you I might give it a try. Last edited by Whelmed; 10-22-2007 at 06:30 PM. |
