Low-Cost shootout suggestion

As there is no official "suggestion" box, I'm posting this here, and hopefully someone can move it to the right place.

The Karma / Neumann shootout got me to thinking... it's great that the Karma, a $350 mic can sound almost as good as a $2600 mic, but I'm wondering is a Karma worth the upgrade from say an AKG Perception 200, which is about a $220 mic?

I was very impressed with the Karma shootout, but I'm also pretty happy with my AKG, so the question then becomes, what's to gain from dumping another $350 on another condensor mic?

If the Karma was a big improvement over the AKG, I'd probably do it in a hot minute, but if it's not, I'll stick with my AKG, so it seems a perfect question for a "low-ball" shootout.

Waddya think Brandon? You up for a "el cheapo" shootout?

I'm TOTALLY up for a low ball shootout. I've wanted to do $100 mic wars for a long time, but never scraped up the time.

That's awesome Brandon, however I know you are absolutely jammed with your KHR stuff along with everything else you're up too...

So if you want to "loan" me your Karma K58, I'll be happy to do the shootout for RR

I've got a Marshall MXL 990, AKG Perception 200, and with the Karma, I could compare all 3.
