About the spending money part (scratches back of head). Amplitube 2 is good, though. With the mixing options on that, cubase, my interface and guitar, it's now become NSA cryptology getting the right sound. I still haven't cracked the code... What's the hendrix one like. I've got it lying around uninstaller. I don't believe in spending that much money for software, especially for a software model of an amp. |

The Hendrix one is really good. If your into any kind of blues rock, anything that leans to that era, this pretty much nails it. Its gotten rave reviews. But it really depends on your needs. Amplitube 2 can do it all as well, but the Hendrix plug really nails that vintage sound. Just note that with Xgear, you can actually combine the gear of Amplitube 2 and Hendrix for a wider variety of combos and sounds. Actually, with Xgear, you can combine any IK multimedia product, SVX, you name it. I do believe in spending money on a good amp modelling software for the simple fact that I do a lot of PC based recording and I can do it all with headphones now as not to disturb the wife and kids late at night. Then there is the ease of reamping as well. Food for thought. For this price, its almost a no brainer. Then again, everyone has a different budget and priorities. Cheers
