What do you think of this song

I wrote this and recorded this piano/acoustic version just so I could hear how it would sound etc. Anyway; just wondering what you think of it. Basically, the outline of the song is that, in the past, I have let some people in and become friends and every single one of them has sucessfully screwed me over and become a bit of a jerk, to put it lightly.

Then I met this girl. The most amazing person I've ever met in my life - she's the reason I get up in the mornings now. When I first met her, I was a bit cautious of letting her in - I didn't want to break my wall down for her to hurt me like everyone else had. But she's got my heart now and I can't help but let her in. The sad thing, is she likes going in and out of my 4 walls, but I wanna close that 4th while while she's inside so we can be together for ever and not worry about what others think. This is my song to her.

That's very nice,well done.

Some of the cool little piano flourishes could be embellished even further as you go on with it.Even as it is,it stands up well as a song.

I love the song. I don't think there is anything wrong with it lyrically. the piano is fine also.
BUT......( you asked what we think )

I don't think the voice fits the song. THE VOICE IS A GOOD VOICE. But I think the piano is a bit to clean for that style of voice. That voice is edgy. If you don't want to change the singer try this ............
Play around with an electric guitar in place of the piano or just combine the guitar in with the piano as like an under tone along with some drums. don't let the drums or the electric guitar over power the piano just let them sort of be there and let there presence be know in the more powerful parts of the song.
B/C when I was listening to the song I heard an electric guitar and possible drums.
Just play around with it and see what you think. If you like it the way it is keep it that way its your song.
