Song Writing Contest!

OK, this isn't exactly sanctioned but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Who's got what it takes?

But...rather than digging through your collection of songs and posting your best work of art, let's make it interesting. Post a random topic, after we've collected enough ideas, an outsider chooses for us. Then, we all write a song based on this topic. We post our finals and the community votes. The winner ofcourse recieves a virtual high five and the satisfaction of being awesome.

I'll start,

My suggested topic:

Your lover falls asleep with the TV on and it's driving you crazy or the reverse of this scenerio. Personally, I think you TV people are nuts, I need absolute silence and darkness.

or you including even the unreasonable ones?

or one about the distractions you find/found in your high school chemistry/math class

or one about your favorite game/movies/books/etc

idk, something outside of the box i guess?

how much better life is when you're a member of Sam's Club.

Obviously some of you have lots of time on your hands. I'd prefer a jingle... in either case, here are a couple of suggestions -

Song: The Joys of MIDI.

Commercial: Bontempi. Where ideas go to die.

a jingle is a good idea
but puts too much limitation to it
id actually really like to see some of the pros out there recording what they write for the contest
this can get quite expansive

I like it.

Jingles would be fun too and I think each one of these contests could be a different theme, much like the way "Mix This" is conducted.

More ideas:
You catch your girlfriend masturbating to a picture of Burt Reynolds.

Trying desperatley to impress a lifeguard at the public pool, you show off some of your best dives.
