some issues i face... Help

When ever I write a song I can write lyrics very well... I can sing along in the car or even at home and record it and have the vocal melody good and a good voice but when i sing original lyrics it has no vocal melody to it an sometimes the voice is ok but not as good as i know i can sing.....
Oh yeah and i also have trouble coming up with chord progressions...
Any advice on any of this just let me know

Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice. If it was easy, everybody would do it.

Besides practice, you might try and find someone to collaborate with whose strengths match your weaknesses. I am weak at writing vocal melodies so I have teamed with a vocalist who is good at just that. The result is much better music.

You definitely want to try to get with others to creatively brainstorm. It is amazing with what you can come up with. On the otherside of that many people are great at mixing,recording and producing but lack the ability to play instruments.

I guesss it does make sense because I write lyrics all the timet hey used to be hard now there easy so I need to focus on chord progressions and vocal mellodies now
