I wrote this one this weekend... what do you guys think?

I thought it was really good. Nice feel of simplicity, even though there was obviously a lot of harmony and overdubs. I think the vocals could be highlighted a bit more with some presence-peak EQ and maybe one of those nice vocal reverbs that hiss on the sibilance, to really make the lead vocal line pop, and add a kind of film-noir mystery ambiance.

Has a nice Van Morrison/"Moondance" feel. Since you posted this in "Songwriting", here are some comments on the song structure itself. Seems there's about a third of a song missing. Maybe a bridge, or an instrumental interlude, but it needs a bit more to feel like a complete song to me. Since the lyrics were really nice, I'd opt for one more verse with a short instrumental interlude in-between or at the end closing it out (it did end rather abruptly). I agree with Pignanelli that the vocals are a bit too muddy, but the production and the performance were very nice.
