Hi!
I was just wondering, Where can I find free Drum loops (mp3 files) that I can use when I'm making songs? I like to make songs, but I get kinda stuck because I don't have any drums to put in... and what's a song without the drums?;p I've used 'music maker' (I'm not sure if that is the correct name) but all the drum loops are in the same tempo, and they all are very similar.. I want to make guitar solo songs, and I want to put in some drums that fit to this style... Thank you very much |

Hi,
Try Googling it worked for me. There are some John Bonham outakes around which I have used and found inspirational! Also the people that sell loops offer free samples that you can use. I understand where you are coming from, I am a guitarist, have limited time on the computer and know that my gift is not programming drums! |

I searched for quite a while for drum "content." I looked at loops and drum machines - both SW and HW, and virtual drum instruments. I finally settled on (drum roll) EZDUMMER from Toontrack. it comes with lots of beats across many styles using a variety of "kits" and you get add-on beats from a company called Groove Monkey. Still a bit of a challenge to find an exact match to what I have in mind sometimes, but overall its been great. I sing in my head and lay down the drum sfirst then layer the parts on top. My next goal will be to write my own beats where I have a well-developed concept in mind. hope this helps
