Default Catchy Parts.

So the songs I write are mostly acoustic driven while while I write. Once they're done they're powerpoppy mostly upbeat songs. Lotsa minor key songs about girls.

I can write sing-a-long chorus', but I want to have those little "clap your hands" bridges with repetition and catchy lines. If anyone has advice, or can relate a thought process they use when they write anything anything similar to what I'm talking about mucho happiness would spawn in my heart upon reading.

Well If you can write something close to what you avotar looks like you will be off to a good start for me! Seriously I think the music will catch the attention of most people before the lyrics. If it has a catchy tune, you could sing something like "hang on sloopy" and it will get listened to anyways...

Haha. Okay, well even the music in the bridges I don't understand. I don't know if guitars should brighten up and come in hotter, or what? I've been in a few metal bands, and I can write breakdown bridges (You know. The ones where all the highschoolers start stomping in circles and punching each other).

I just don't understand what the most effective way to work it. Especially in minors.

On a bridge sparse guitar helps, as in just like pit of extra picking from a strat or whatever; you can never tell if an audience will make a thing of certain parts of a song- look at radio gaga, that hand thing was never planned i believe.
