Hey, As for me it usually comes out by itself there's really nothing particular i can give you on the lyrics other than make sure that at the end of the song once you read it to urself it sends out a meaning or a message ![]() As for the multi-syllable rhymes sometimes they comeout alone and sometimes i get help from any website with a dictionary. Try using RhymeZone |

I also use a dictionary. It really helps the stop of using play, day, way in every line. If you have a flow then its easy to write a song. I usually hmm a song then add the words in to the hmm.

Really, I prefer not to use a rhyming dictionary. It makes me feel as if it's not my own work anymore, because I didn't think of the rhyme myself. Any tips that I can give you concerning writing Rap Songs are just write from the heart, don't write anything false about yourself, and make sure you rap about what's important to you. You wouldn't write a good song about something that's not particularly important to you. That's just for the content. For writing lines and delivering, you want to rhyme as much as possible at the right times in songs so the listener can easily tell when and where you rhyme. So the listeners can hear your rhyme scheme without trying. Also, make sure you rhyme multiple syllables often. It's not as impressive if you just rhyme one syllable, even if you flow really well. Try to incorporate as many multiple syllable rhymes as possible. When rhyming, if you don't already know, you can rhyme phrases based on compound syllables sounding combined (don't know if I worded that right). So basically, phrases like "First Place" and "Birthday" rhyme. Make sure you emphasize the right parts of the words, and make sure you never forget your flow; keep it in mind whenever you're writing/recording. I don't know if any of that made sense, but if you need some more help with writing Rap, I could help you personally. PM me? I'm not very experienced with any Hardware or professional recording equipment, but I am pretty experienced with writing songs. Hope it helped. |

I am not a Rapper!... But I record and mentor rappers. Just make sure that what ever you write, make sure you believe it... or can make somebody believe it. I heard wack raps but when you hear it the artist is convinced and is able to get that across... Just for example Drake... hes not saying anything crazy, but his delivery sells it every trip. Just practice, be true to yourself and exaggerate but dont over exaggerate... Holla!

If you can come up with a topic other than making money, booty, or putting rims on your ride then you're ahead of the game. I've heard so many retards rap about guns and bullet proof vests it's goddamn hilarious. Everyone's got a story, just tell yours, but challenge yourself to create your own style. Lightningsaphira had some great advice and I agree. Lie, die, try ...eliminate it, unless it's absolutely necessary. Get a note pad and take it everywhere you go, you never know when creativity's gonna strike. Use alliterations like jump in the jacuzzi or triples like grab that goat before it gets away or as many as you want, I killed a couple cockroaches campin on my couch Understanding rhythm is essential. You need to know the difference between sixteenths and 8th notes and dotted quarters and triplets etc. Making beats helps because it forces you to learn all of this terminology.

Your life exeriences will be where you would start first. I like to make a beat then freestyle the first maybe 4 bars to get my feet wet then go from there, never be fake, people will be able to recongnize real cats trust me. and these guys are right you dont have to rhyme everything exactly with your last bar, its all about your delivery and your swag. also try writing to a beat this way you can follow maybe the kick or snare and attack the track. hope all goes well for you bro!

personally... i used to be a terrible writer, then i began to 1) write about past troubles in MY LIFE, and current situations, and what not, and 2) tapped into my inner slick rick if you will, and began to write stories, not like what you hear on the radio where dudes are making up how much they have of this and that, but novel-esque type stories... concepts... but, if you have the right delivery / presence / flow, lyrics are sometimes overlooked (Gucci for example) |
