But what can I do on your site, that I can't already do here or on a myriad of other music hosting sites (with far more members and listeners)?

That's the problem with a lot of these sites. Here today, gone tomorrow. They are eager to sign people up but very few actually deliver listeners. I don't even bother signing up for most of these fringe sites anymore, it's not worth the effort. Run if they ask for money, promising results. There are only a few ways to get seriously noticed. Play live -- a lot. Gather critical reviews for your work. Sell to TV or film.
