I'm not sure where to post self-promotion/spam but I consider this news so I'll put it here and leave it up to Brandon and our mods to move it where it belongs or just delete it all-together.
Kevin and I received excellent information and suggestions from Brandon and other forum members here so I wanted to make this information available to anyone who might be interested. Specifically, this thread was a great help to me: Recording A Big Drum Set: Opinions and/or Suggestions OK it looks like we finally have an official release date for our new CD release titled "Cold Star, Quiet Star" set for February 19th, 2008. To help celebrate over 2 years in the making, we are headlining a new concert series in Sumter, South Carolina called "Rock at the Hall". Can't find a baby-sitter? No problem, this is a FAMILY FRIENDLY concert and children are encouraged to attend so ages 12 and under will get in free! The show will be at Patriot Hall and all seats are $8 for general admission available at The Music Gator-844 Broad St, Sumter SC or at the door. This is a great venue with comfortable theater seating seen below: The show is February 16th (Saturday) and doors will open at 6:30PM. Special guest Joal Rush will perform at 7PM and we'll probably kick off our show around 8PM. Advance copies of the CD will be available along with our previous CD releases and various swag. We will contribute a portion of our proceeds to the "Light of Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center" in Sumter, S.C. Farpoint's website |
