new video up, Gilgamesh's Dream, test

This is a test video at our youtube, YouTube - dalekay's Channel .
What it is :

1. One of our new tracks (not finished) used to work a animation.

2. The animation you see will only be 2o to 30 seconds in the real video for the same track along with a few others like it but a tad different.

3. The animation is the heart of one of the synths. The idea is, you see us perform in the studio. The view then zooms in closer to one of the synths then into it. A x-ray type of thing, then you see this.

4. A closer real track is at myspace ( Inquisitor Betrayer on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos ), I know, the finger cymbals are too hot. I since toned that down. I was thinking conversion to mp3 would spoil it but I had it still too hot.

5. for the boneheads at the midi thread who hate midi, midi is well used in this track, do not listen, it will harm what brain you have left. midi was used to help automate the animation to the video ... another fine use of midi ... Dave Smith would stare at you ... you know, the Father of Midi ... I use several of his fine synths, PEK and P'08 ... in this track of all things ...
as mentioned in the thread, those who hate midi, i.e. the boneheads, bite me ...

Do peek at it, comment on it. We enjoy feedback, positive or negative. Lets hope it not all negative ...

so as you might guess, recording to me just is not audio ...
recording midi is just as techy as any audio ... keep it in your books ...

just noting - converting to mp3 will crush your bass, but usually leaves the highs unnoticeable for changes.

maybe you'll get more responses if you don't call people "boneheads"?

I'm also beyond only audio - so - if you're planning on putting video up on youtube from flash - why not change your stage area to 740 x 480 so you can fill in the entire widescreen of the player?
Yes, you're out of synch. change your time line in your audio view to work in fps if you want to resolve that issue - just a suggestion - I'm not positive about it - but being the flash is frame based ... you see where I'm going. Other option may be to change your fps in flash to something more conveniently time(seconds) divisible for the audio -e.g. - 30 fps or 15 or 10, not the standard 12 or 24. I forget what the default is in flash...

problem with the hearbeat concept is that the whole stage is pulsing, not just that blob in the middle. Other than that - I applaud your efforts in the entire multimedia effort, not just the audio or video alone. It's a longer row to hoe, so I give you slack on both since what you are trying to do all alone is a very big effort. Keep working on it - good luck.
I'm impressed with your flash animation, the smoothness. Surprised it's done in flash at all...not maya or something 3D?

flash is from youtube that is what they convert it too ...
there lies the problem ... I am also doing this on PC, not MAC .. so mp4 to avi is my format ...
yep, the stage will have to shrink down a bit, I can do a pan and zoom on that in the editor for the real video ..

no super funds here to get maya or something else, what I got now I will have to live with for a bit longer ... using pinnacle studio 12 ultimate for example ... the other software I found all over the net and then what I use out of the dlls or other elements .. if I can find a good person to work with, then I can just toss that effort on my side aside for a bit and focus more on the music effort ...

boneheads huh? well I am call myself a bonehead too ... ;-)

heck even the learning effort to do this is far more than I want to spend ... but the concept has to get out and maybe someone will note it, tell me how bad it is and maybe even want to dig in and fix it up somewhat ...

(1280 x (720) x 486)... whatever - widescreen.
if you take a project with 16:9 properties and render to 4:3 resolution (youtube); when you blow up to full screen on a wide screen, you should get true full screen (on a widerscreen).
I figure target market for anyone doing such work would be widescreen, hd
