Default Zoom HD 16 & CuBase LE 4

When cubase LE 4 is loading a box comes on and say's the audio input is not activated Recording is not possible please click the AISO control panel VST divice setup dialog box !!! been there done that still dont work please what am I doing wrong my computer works the zoom cubase wants to save file says something was recorded but i can hear anything HELP ME

the hd 16 is not an interface device you cant up load in mackie mode to cubase it dont work have to be in USB massive storage mode then import so do you have any Ideas I still cant hear anything although I see the recorded signal and meter movement dell support said my pc is running top knotch

Sorry, I missed the "16" part.

So your device records on the standalone recorder and then you copy the files into Cubase?

So of course, the Cubase message is correct. You don't have audio input..What is your soundcard? You need to setup Cubase to work with your existing soundcard. In Devices>Device Setup you will see a dropdown list of drivers. You should probably select Direct X full duplex driver if it is available. You will also need to create a stereo output channel in Cubase.
