I use Cubase Studion 4 and I am noticing that with some of my projects, I have to go into VST connections and tell it about my interface and add busses every time, when starting a new project. I made an in and an out preset, called Inspire that just defines to mono in's and a stereo bus out. Sometimes, within the same project, I have had to re-point the thing more than once, like the settings are not sticking. So, how do I explicity make Cubase use this set of VST connections for all projects? It is minor, but a pain in the ass. It seems like it got confused when I added my Line6 Toneport DI to the system. I never use that as a direct input, always my Pre-Sonus Inspire. It never tries to use the L6, but it seems to want to be re-introduced to the Inspire every time now.

Is there a way to save a session? Just make a session called start. don't add any music, just set it up. Then save it as a session called start or whatever you want. When you open that session shouldn't everything be the same as it was after you set it up? I am not sure I don't use cubase but with every soundcard or series I have had it works for me in Cool Edit Pro.

I actually mean preset, under VST connections you can save a Preset, and I have it set up for an input and output preset for the Inspire. It is just weird that after I got the Line 6 tone port, which does have an input and is USB, now I have to tell each project what I am using via the preset. The template would get me there too, but I still have to "tell" Cubase to use the Inspire everytime, one way or the other. Thanks guys!

Hi, I had the same problem on Cubase 4 creating my presets for VST Connections for my 2 Delta 1010s and setting up 4 studio cues for headphone mixes. The worst now is that those presets have disappeared from the preset list ![]() Where can I find the folder where those presets are stored? How come tese presets disappeared by themselves??? Any help would be much appreciated! Best regards Yves |
