using cubase with macbook

just getting started with cuabse for mac... i have cubase installed though when i open a new project it tells me
"record could not be enabled, because there is no input. Open the input window and enable the desired input."
I have a lexicon omega audio interface yet it does not recognize...any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Does the Omega work with audio outside of Cubase?

yea i had a dell for a long time and cubase worked great with the omega....i tried it with garageband, it recognized it as a interface yet no sound would register

Get: latest drivers, latest version of Cubase with the update patches.
