Unable to get output sound in Cubase LE

Hello,

I am running WinXP.
I have installed Presonus Firebox and the Cubase LE 4 software.
I brought raduim usb 49 keyboard and a 5 midi cable. The keyboard is only output and plugged into my computer.
I plugged the keyboard out into the firebox midi in cable.

I open a midi track and I am able to see the fader moving as I hit note but not sound.

I have tried changing in/out bus, device setting and I am not getting any where.

Please help.

MIDI is data not audio - you can't hear MIDI. You will need to "play" the midi through a VSTi instrument, a soft synth. You can start out with the HAION player that came with your Cubase. If your keyboard makes sounds and you want to use them you can connect the audio outputs to the audio interface. Or, since it's USB you can set up inputs in Cubase in device detup.

Thanks for you response, now I don't feel so all alone. lol
My keyboard dosen't make sound, it just has output. So can leave it plugged into the USB and the firebox midi in or should i disconnect from firebox?
In Cubase it is only giving me the option to output to Midi Out on the firebox or the Window WAve or USB Out.

I decided to uninstall everything yesterday, so of course today nothing works. I am going to play with and try to get it to where it was so I can try the VST instruments. I will let you know how it turns out.

You haven't mentioned what virtual instruments you are attempting to trigger with your MIDI data.

This is 101 level stuff here that is all found quickly and easily in the getting started guide with Cubase. If you refuse to read it, you are going to be in for a long haul. You'll save yourself about 10,000 headaches when you learn how to use Cubase as was intended.
