So you want to trigger a specific sound from your keyboard? That's fairly straightforward. If you already have the MIDI track, route it to the MIDI output of your soundcard/audio interface/midi interface. Run that cable from that MIDI out to the MIDI in for your keyboard. Now we have to deal with channels. Most keyboards have 16 channels (so you can trigger 16 instruments at once). You'll have to figure out channels on your keyboard on your own. I have no idea about specific models of keyboards. Let's just say we are using Channel #7 on the keyboard. Go back to Cubase and change the channel to #7. Hit play on your MIDI track. You should hear sound coming out of your keyboard. Brandon |
