sx hangs up

hi all, hope you can help...
i'm having a problem exporting a song..it hangs up when it gets 1/2 way
thru. the song is about 7 mins. long.
never had this happen before.
i'm wondering if a clipping issue would cause this?
pc, 1Gig memory, audigy platinum,
mackie, behringer, digitech...

So if it was a short song it works ok?

Check this by exporting sections, you could put the sections together in something like soundforge maybe.

But it should tell you if each section is ok.

Does it say there was a problem or time out?

I would think it would time out but if it's a problem you might have something in there that is causing a problem.

Just record it on a new track, you have a loopback input?

Rule out clipping. Plenty of hard drive space? Double check your export settings. and yes, the markers are often sneaky.

Does the song play through in real-time?

Have you tried a real-time export?

What's happening at the moment it stops? Is there some track that come in, a processor that starts working?

Does it happen at the exact same place, every export?
