Sound Lag with Cubase Al4 HELP PLEASE

Hey guys ill give you stuff on my gear and then the problem i am facing.

I am using a Yamaha MW8CX and Sony Professional 7506headphones with an Audiobox(DI) and a Clockaudio(dynamic microphone)
Recording software: Cubase Al4

The problem i am facing is when i play my guitar or speak/sing into the mic there is like a lag between what i play and what comes out from my speakers. However, when i hear what i play through the headphones it is fine.

What could be the problem? I have no effects or delay on. Just wondering if anyone of you knew how to solve this problem.

Without checking out the Yahmaha specs, I would guess that the headphones allow direct monitoring while the speakers are giving you the ouput from software. This delay is called latency..You can go into the Device set up / control panel in Cubase and try reduce the latency settings, however this may cause pops and crackling inthe audio..It's always a give and take between audio quality and low latency.
