Default Setting up Busses - Cubase 5

In Cubase, I tried setting up a bus for my drums to have it as its own channel to add effects, and so I could control the volume a lot easier.

Then when I tried to export the song. The drums didn't even show up. I had two output channels.

    1 - Stereo Out
    2 - Drums

Why is it that the drums weren't exported, and would it be possible to have the drums be going out to the Stereo Out channel?

The only thing that goes out in an audio export is the stereo out channel. Are the drum tracks midi tracks?

    Nah. No midi at all.

Yeah, you have to route all your busses to the same output (your main output). You can buss to a buss to a buss to infinity, but eventually it has to go to your mains or you wasted a lot of bussing.

Where are you setting this bus up at?

    VSTconnections? or in project view?

VSTconnections is when you want something sent outside the computer. You can do a mixdown of one or the other.

The bus or group track is the way to add an internal bus that you can send to the main out. Then you can inserts to it that will effect whatever you send to the bus.
I never finish a mix, just abandon it.
