Hello Everyone, I am having a new problem with cubase studio 4.Each time I open a new project and create a drum track (kore player,Halion 1,etc) I create the drum track,do a couple of guitar tracks, then at the end when I save the track and re-open it,all the audio is saved but,the drum track produces no audio. The track itself is still present in the track window but produces no audio. It has worked fine for more than a year but,all of a sudden A glitch!!!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx, jmmcgee57 |

The drum track is midi? Check to see if the midi volume is set to 0, or try creating a new track and send it to the drum VST, I've had that happen and I slide the volume up and down on a midi controller with the track highlighted. Just a thought.

Hello tacman7, Thanx for the quick response.I opened a track that I'm having problems with and the volume level is where it needs to be.I guess I should have mentioned a couple of other points in my last post.I have older songs on the hard drive that when opened, work just fine.As I said,It's a "new"problem and only seems to affect new projects. If I go ahead and re-work the drum track,It works fine until I save the project and then close it and reopen it again.I'd also like to ask if these drum tracks are actually tru midi tracks since what I'm using to create these tracks is actually a sampler? In cubase,an actual midi track(which i have yet to figure out)looks completely different than a track where a sampler is used. The vst instruments mixer looks the same as an audio track does.I am afraid my technical savvy may not be quite up to par on this which may account for the hostile/snobby replies I have received from the cubase.net forum. But that is another story!!!! Anyhow,I'll keep plugging away at and see if I can get it figured out.I really do appreciate the help and comments. Thank you much! jmmcgee57 |

I was gone for a few days, how are you doing now? Midi takes a while to get used to. You can't 'look' at a midi volume level, you have to send it move it and send some messages. If you have a midi track and it has an embedded volume change in it, the synth volume will change but it won't be reflected in the mixer. Highlight an event in the project window then click list view from the midi menu, if it opens up and you can see all the events, then it's midi.
