Question Problem in recording sounds

Hi

I've been recently facing this strange problem when trying to record vocals in Nuendo.

I've got a C1-U behringer usb condenser microphone. When I connect it and record vocals in normal recorders like windows sound recorder everything goes fine and I have no problem( please see goodquality.wav file in the attachment). But when I open Nuendo and try recording sounds there with same mic the sound I get sounds really crap. I mean it's like the volume goes up and down and frequencies get messed up( please see crapqualty.mp3 file in the attachment).

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Is there a setting I need to change?

I'm using Dell Vostro 1500 and it's own soundcard.

Thanks in advance.

Moin.

Ok guys. I fixed the problem. Just in case someone else has the same problem:

Windows automatically sets the new mic as using mic however nuendo doesn't do that and it was using laptops default mic. So I had to go to ASIO setup and change the mic .

Thanks.
