Default Please help...sound only on left speaker after recording

Hi everybody,

I have just bought a firepod and set it up. I can record my bass but I only get output sound on the left speaker of my output speakers. Why does this happen? Have I set up something wrongly in Cubase?

Please somebody help me.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Iván

You recorded a mono channel. Pan it to centre... it should come out of both speakers.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I have however panned (in the mixer) the chanel and when I take the panner to the left it sounds on the left speaker (as before) but when I take it to the right it stops.

???

It must be something stupid but I can´t find it.

Do you hear other stuff out of both speakers?

This sounds like a stereo track to me.

Create a new track, MAKE SURE you select mono. Record something and start panning. I think it will fix the problem.
