Playback is crackly

Here is my set up

Memory: 4096 MB 1600 CORSAIR 1600Mhz

I have a stock soundcard, when im running my project (with about, 30 plus VST's going) the playback is crackly which is real annoying when your trying to mix!

Any ideas?

SOLVED!

I tired playback routed thru my tascam us 1641 and its fine

Why is that??? Does the tascam have its own ram/processor?

No. The issue is most likely how your stock soundcard handles latency via its driver. I bet if you set your 1641 to a buffer of 64 samples or so, you'd end up with crackles again. A stock soundcard may have high latency, but still put unnecessary load on your computer's CPU.
