Default pending connections in SX3?!?!

hi, i'm new to cubase but things have been going swimmingly until now. my audio interface is an mbox 2 and its been working great, i've been recording things just fine. but last night i shut down my software and everything the same way i do every night, however, when i go to record some more today it says there's an error saying "an active audio port could not be found" and then when i open up a cubase file, the "pending connections" box comes up saying all my digidesign drivers are pending. what the hell?! i didn't do anything differently last night than i do any night, and everything is plugged in and attached fine because i can still play my windows media player through my mbox like i always can. why is it not working in cubase?

PLEEEEASE HELP!!

What was the solution? Just in case it ever happens to me, y'know?

We're lobbying for that to be passed into law - that you have to post the solution that you find, once you have come here and asked the question. We sort of owe each other that via an unspoken social contract...

sorry about that, i was actually planning to post what happened, i'm not sure why didn't. i'm not by the computer i use so this is sort of by memory but what i recall doing was going into Device Setup and next to the drop down menu where you choose the ASIO driver you want to use, it says something along the lines of "Master _____". It doesn't look like a button but you can actually click it. When I did, (with my ASIO driver selected in the dropdown menu), it asked me if I wanted to switch to that device and i did and badda bing bada boom. when i get to the computer i use i'll rewrite this explanation...but maybe you already know what i'm talking about!

Cool thanks for coming back and telling us. We have quite a few hit and run users these days.
