Default Pan issue with Nuendo/Cubase

hi guys!
I scratch my head with the following problem:
I am creating a simple file with click-track and bass-track, which I will be using for my drumming (both tracks are written in VST). The idea is to separate them on channels (click to left channel, and bass to right channel)

When using panning in mixer in Nuendo, i managed to separate the output from VST channels. The problem is that my "click" track is nice and clear, but when I hear to my "bass" track on Right channel, I can hear a slight echo of my click.

Another observation is that if I create a mixdown and split L & R channels into two files, they are both nice&clear, i.e. without interference of eachother.
On the other hand, if I export a mixdown with both channels included, I get the same problem of interference on the Right channel in the .wav file.

Any hints on how I can resolve this? I've tried everything.
Cheers
D

Did your click get picked up by the bass microphone?

Are you somehow listening to the Audition bus?

I have no idea.
is it possible in the program that two channels can interfere with each other? I don't quite understand that, and really don't know what the bass mic is.

As far as I know, I didn't specify to listen to the Audition bus, since I don't even know how I can use it. Any hint on buttons I can try to click perhaps?

What i meant was when you were recording the bass, did you use a microphone, and did that mic pick up the click track from your headphones.

The audition buss controls the level of the click track. There is a fader that corresponds to it right beside the main stereo out. There is also a "send" that corresponds to it. This is a little blue box somewhere near the main stereo out fader. Blue if the audition buss is turned on, greyed out if its not.

just to clarify:
I have written both tracks in VST instrument (standard a1). So the click is "hand-made".
Since bass is not recorded using the mic, but simple pencil in Cubase , there should not be any interference caused by that.

thanks D

hey Deicide5997,

This things hapen when you use send effect on the tracks. Please make sure that you didn't use any effect like reverb or eco on the click and bass as well as your effect and group track,if you used any.
And please check if efects are on on the vst channal too.
Good luck!

No, there no effects.
Actually, it seemed that I had to use the knob that controlls the VST channel itself, not that particular track (which is rather odd, as I can't controll every single track separately).

a lot of magic and unresolved issues Nuendo conceals.
