I am brand new to home recording. After I actually got things to start recording a strange thing happened - after about the 5th track when I added another track or effect the song would slow down and then freeze. Thats it. I guess I could do 5 track songs but that wouldn't be very interesting.... thoughts? Kristina |

You mean the song just stops playing or the speed of playback actually slows down?? Weird. Check your CPU usage via Windows Task Manager or possibly via Cubase (F12 I think) - normally CPU overload comes in the form of pops, clicks and static. Post some more info about your system and also what kind of tracks/effects - are they midi and driving virtual instruments, how many effects and what typer per track etc.
