hi I need some help I had cubebase installed on vista and it kept shutting down so I got rid of a bunch of software that came with the computer that seemed to help but if I was using a few mikes at one time it would still shut down. So I then I set up a double boot system I kept the vista for my everyday needs like internet,e-mail etc and bought xp for my recording and thought that would fix everything. Now cubebase isn't shutting down but I can't get it to record.I'am using the presonus firestation and the sound is coming through all the mikes and out the monitors and the click can be heard to but nothing is even coming up on the cubebase mixer. When I record everything seems to be working but theres no sound going in.

I called presonus and got the problem with the sound fixed had the imputs and outputs setup incorrectly but there is one thing thats not making any sense.Iam recording on 4 mics at a time channel 1-kick,2-snare,3-overhead r,4-overhead L but on cubebase channel 1 and channel 2 are switched.I've looked at the imput setup and it lookes good there all imput-mono,output stereo.Has this happened to anbody else.

If the inputs are switched, the odds are about 99.99% that it is human error.
There are several places that it could get flip flopped. 1) It's possible that you plugged mic #2 into input #1. 2) It's possible that you set up the inputs in Cubase so that #2 is going to channel one in Cubase. This is done in the F4 menu. 3) It's possible that when you created a new audio track, you selected the wrong input. All of this may seem confusing, but it'll become second nature in time. Brandon
