Default No sound after Vista update

A few days ago I updated Vista with service pack 2. Since then there has been no sound with Cubase SX3. Sound for other applications works ok. I've uninstalled service pack 2 but the problem still remains. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hows your routing? Did it change? Press F4 and see where your outputs are pointing.

If that isn't it, we are going to need more info about audio interface you are using.

billyG's revenge.

microslop freely changes our settings cause billyG thinks uncle BOB knows more than we do about our pc and how we want it to run.

I have updates turned off. But
microcrap keeps forcing in changes that i dont want anyway --
and things then work differently. most of the time they still work. but i can easily see where they change something that hozes your audio.

It may be their crack (emphasisis on crack) programmers think that you should be using windows media player or somesuch for everything.

Now if you installed from a CD your problem is easier.
If you installed from online download you are screwed.

Contact microbleep and ask them for the sp2 CDROM.
insist on it.
they will send it free.

install from a cdrom
and then if you have problems reinstall your audio software.

After that keep that pc off the internet so uncle Bobby doesn't fork you again.

Remember vista is son of Bob.
